Staff Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Staff Backend Engineer will set the technical direction for the backend platform, focusing on API integrations and core systems in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set technical direction and architecture for major areas of the backend platform, translating product goals into scalable strategies
- Design and implement reliable systems within a micro-services architecture, ensuring engineering quality
- Build and maintain integrations with 3rd-party vendors and design highly available RESTful APIs for user-facing applications
Required qualifications
- At least 8 years of professional engineering experience, with a focus on fintech products
- Proficient in backend languages such as Go/Golang and Python
- Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including data model design
- Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
