Job Summary
To support the development of Teleport's Core Product, the full-time Staff Backend Engineer will focus on performance, scalability, and security, working remotely to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions primarily in Go.
Key responsibilities
- Become an expert on scalability, performance, and reliability of Teleport in large deployments
- Design, develop, and ship outstanding, high-quality products while collaborating closely with other teams
- Lead a distributed team of engineers and work directly with customers to diagnose and remediate performance issues
Required qualifications
- Extensive experience with Go programming language
- Proven track record in developing scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems
- Strong team leadership and engineering management experience
- Experience in Linux systems engineering
- Knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models
