Staff Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Staff Backend Software Engineer will design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Go and Python, working remotely to enhance the infrastructure of a global marketplace platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Go and Python/FastAPI
- Build and optimize high-performance microservices that handle real-time bidding, transactions, and user interactions
- Implement robust data models and caching strategies to ensure data integrity and application performance
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend development
- Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python, with production experience in building scalable services
- Extensive experience with relational databases, including schema design and optimization
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD automation
