Staff Bioinformatics Scientist

Job Summary

Driving the development of algorithms for detecting minimal residual disease in ctDNA samples, the full-time Staff Bioinformatics Scientist will collaborate with teams to prototype novel NGS algorithms, improve existing analysis methods, and provide technical guidance, with the flexibility to work remotely within the US.

Key responsibilities:

• Prototype novel NGS algorithms for clinical oncology use cases such as MRD
• Assess and improve existing secondary analysis algorithms for variant and biomarker detection
• Design and analyze experiments in collaboration with internal and external teams to support oncology assays

Required qualifications:

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, math, or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience
• Fluency in at least two of statistics, common bioinformatics methods, NGS analysis, and oncology
• Proven track record of developing bioinformatics NGS algorithms beyond existing tools
• Fluency in programming languages such as Python; experience with C++ is desired
• Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
