Staff Cloud Operations Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing Cloud Ops team, the full-time Staff Cloud Operations Engineer will manage cloud infrastructure design and implementation in GCP, coordinate cross-functional collaboration, and maintain incident response processes, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with technical and non-technical staff on workflow automation and cross-departmental projects
- Maintain and improve incident response processes and tooling, ensuring proactive monitoring across the application stack
- Design, implement, and maintain compliant, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure in GCP
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably with GCP
- Strong experience with observability tools and at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, Bash, Java, or Go
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation
