Staff Cloud Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Owning major parts of the Azure and Kubernetes platform, the fully remote Staff Cloud Platform Engineer will manage infrastructure, site reliability, and security, while leading multi-month programs from design to implementation and sharing operational responsibilities across time zones.
Key responsibilities
- Shape and evolve the Kubernetes platform, managing multiple AKS clusters and implementing advanced network policies
- Lead infrastructure-as-code initiatives using Terraform, ensuring safe changes through effective guardrails and GitOps workflows
- Operate and ensure the resilience of data stores, focusing on replication, failover, and capacity planning for critical forecasting services
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering, with a focus on production systems
- Proven track record of leading multi-month infrastructure programs from design through to cutover
- Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments, preferably with managed services like AKS
- Strong skills in Terraform and GitOps workflows, with experience managing large codebases
- Production experience with relational or analytical databases, including MySQL or ClickHouse, focusing on resilience and recovery
