Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support rapid growth, the full-time remote Staff Data Engineer will set technical direction and manage the role-based access model, Snowflake administration, and ingestion processes while contributing to foundational modeling and mentoring team members.

Key responsibilities

• Own the role-based access model and manage grants as code while ensuring security and compliance
• Extend the medallion architecture and oversee ingestion and orchestration processes for data management
• Define dbt project architecture and establish development workflows, mentoring engineers and analysts in best practices

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering with experience at a staff or senior IC level
• Deep expertise in Snowflake administration, including role-based access and PII controls
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with production experience in ingestion and orchestration tools
• Advanced knowledge of dbt, including modeling patterns and incremental models
• Experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform and layered warehouse architecture
