Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a unified data platform initiative, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will shape detailed architecture, own implementation and integration design, and set engineering standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the implementation design across platform ingestion, modeling, and user interfaces
- Shape detailed architecture in collaboration with the architecture team
- Build ingestion pipelines from various production source systems and model raw data into business-ready datasets
Required qualifications
- Substantial experience building and operating cloud data platforms, ideally one designed from scratch
- Deep SQL knowledge and strong command of a cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks)
- Experience with ELT and change-data-capture across relational sources
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) and data quality testing
- Expertise in dimensional or medallion modeling applied in practice
