Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
As a foundational technical leader, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will work remotely to shape the data platform strategy, architect high-throughput streaming pipelines, and manage an enterprise data lakehouse ecosystem for processing telemetry from millions of connected homes.
Key responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term data architecture vision and design standards for the data ecosystem
- Lead the implementation of fault-tolerant batch and real-time streaming data infrastructure
- Mentor and guide data engineers while promoting engineering best practices and technical growth
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software and data engineering experience with architectural leadership at scale
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience with production-grade high-volume data streaming architectures using technologies like GCP PubSub and AWS Kinesis
- Expertise in scalable data lake architectures and managing structured and unstructured data
- Hands-on proficiency in database design and performance tuning with AWS Redshift and PostgreSQL Aurora
