Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Staff Data Engineer, the successful candidate will define the architecture and technical direction of the enterprise Data & Analytics platform, building scalable data infrastructure for cybersecurity and insurance analytics while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Set architecture and engineering standards for Snowflake, dbt, and data orchestration across the Data platform
- Design governed Medallion pipelines and domain-oriented data models to ensure data reliability and usability
- Develop platform foundations for feature engineering and AI applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Required qualifications
- 9-12 years of experience in building and operating production data platforms with a focus on complex systems
- Deep expertise in Snowflake and dbt, including performance optimization and incremental processing
- Strong programming and data modeling skills in Python and analytical SQL
- Experience with modern orchestration and ingestion technologies such as Airflow and Kafka
- Production experience with Looker and LookML for self-service analytics
