Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading enterprise-wide data architecture strategy, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will evaluate technical designs, champion data governance, and develop ETL solutions using Airflow, DBT, Python, and Snowflake while working remotely from anywhere in the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and approve major technical designs and establish engineering best practices
- Develop and manage ETL workflows for large-scale data ingestion and transformation
- Build and scale CI/CD pipelines and ensure data quality and pipeline reliability
Required qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4 years of experience with Apache Airflow, Python, and building streaming pipelines using Kafka
- Experience with big data systems tuning using Kafka and Hive, and using Spark for analytics
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and implementing CI/CD using Jenkins
