Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading complex initiatives and setting technical direction, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will architect scalable data platforms and enable AI-assisted development while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Set multi-quarter technical direction for the data platform and drive execution plans for large cross-functional projects
- Build relationships with technical and non-technical partners to support their goals and advocate for data platform adoption
- Architect and improve data systems for performance, reliability, and scalability while participating in on-call rotations for troubleshooting
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience building data or backend systems with leadership across multiple teams
- Expertise in Python for data pipelines and production software
- Proficiency with SQL and cloud data warehousing, specifically Snowflake or BigQuery
- Experience with containers and orchestration tools, preferably Airflow
- Familiarity with cloud computing services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
