Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
Providing hands-on technical leadership, the full-time remote Staff Data Engineer will manage the architecture, implementation, and operation of high-impact data pipelines that shape business decisions across AI usage, Unit Economics, and enterprise applications.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and operation of data pipelines that support AI adoption metrics, financial metrics, and integration of enterprise applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data models and ensure consistent measurement of AI consumption and product profitability
- Establish data quality controls and optimize performance to enhance data accuracy, completeness, and availability
Required qualifications
- 9+ years of relevant industry experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or 6+ years with a PhD
- Proven track record of leading complex data engineering initiatives from requirements through architecture and production ownership
- Deep expertise in SQL and strong programming skills in Python or Scala
- Extensive experience with distributed processing technologies such as Apache Spark
- Strong data modeling skills, including fact and dimension design and historical data management
