Job Summary
Building the technical backbone of the Defense & Systems Data Fabric, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will manage automated metadata ingestion, API integrations, and policy enforcement to ensure reliable data flow and access control across hybrid environments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated metadata ingestion pipelines and API integrations for data products
- Implement policy-as-code and enforce governance rules in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Onboard and manage the technical operations of data products, ensuring monitoring and reliability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years, or a High School Diploma with 9 years of experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Data Pipeline Engineering or Systems Integration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance
- Experience with hybrid cloud, on-premises, and edge secure connectivity
- Familiarity with metadata-driven governance platforms and policy-as-code implementation
