Job Summary
To support a rapidly expanding cybersecurity company, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will own the architecture and evolution of large-scale data processing systems, design data models for high-volume analytical workloads, and optimize complex SQL queries, all while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and evolution of large-scale data processing and analytics systems
- Design and optimize complex analytical SQL queries and distributed job processing systems
- Provide technical leadership and establish architectural patterns for data processing and analytics
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or data platform roles
- Deep expertise in relational and analytical data modeling for large-scale workloads
- Expert-level SQL skills with experience in optimizing complex queries over large datasets
- Strong experience with Spark, Flink, or similar data processing technologies
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or another programming language for building data-processing systems
