Staff Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the technical direction for a data infrastructure, the full-time Staff Data Platform Engineer will architect and implement systems for processing legal and financial document data at scale, while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for the data platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and compliance
- Architect next-generation pipelines and storage systems for high-volume document data
- Advance data governance and compliance frameworks while mentoring engineers to build a high-performing team
Required Qualifications
- Ten or more years of software engineering experience, with at least six years focused on data platforms or large-scale backend systems
- Expertise in architecting distributed systems and high-throughput data processing environments
- Deep knowledge of big data technologies and modern data platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, Rust, or Go, with experience in production systems
- Expertise in data compliance and secure data handling in regulated environments
