Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support the development of AI software for home service professionals, the full-time Staff Data Scientist will lead improvements in agent behavior, build evaluation systems, and analyze conversations, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead improvements to agent conversation design, prompting, and campaign logic to enhance engagement and appointment setting
• Build evaluation systems to measure agent quality and establish frameworks for experimentation
• Analyze real conversations to identify success factors and areas for improvement, creating a taxonomy of failure modes

Required qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, preferably in tech or marketplace environments
• Experience with non-deterministic systems such as conversational agents or ranking systems
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in cloud ML solutions
• Expertise in statistical thinking and experiment design
