Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning the revenue retention strategy, the full-time remote Staff Data Scientist will analyze and improve revenue from existing customers by collaborating with cross-functional teams, building retention models, and providing actionable insights to drive monetization efforts.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the analysis of core revenue retention and add-on monetization, focusing on MRR churn and usage metrics
• Quantify revenue opportunities and apply causal inference methods to separate real signals from data artifacts
• Act as an analytical advisor, setting standards for retention metrics and collaborating with Finance and Product teams to drive insights

Required qualifications:

• 9+ years of experience in revenue/retention analytics, data science, or applied statistics
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in a Snowflake + dbt environment
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and define metrics that withstand scrutiny
• Experience with causal inference techniques and handling complex financial data
• Proven track record of using retention analytics to inform product or pricing decisions
