Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning the analytical strategy for new financial products, the full-time remote Staff Data Scientist will leverage expertise in Data Science to develop AI/ML solutions, mentor junior data scientists, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive product innovation and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build AI/ML models leveraging bank transaction data to enable new product capabilities
• Rapidly experiment and iterate on solutions, establishing clear evaluation frameworks for scalability
• Provide technical direction to other data scientists while managing large-scale projects end-to-end

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Social Science, Computer Science)
• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, including 4+ years in Financial Services
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in Spark/PySpark preferred
• Experience with Neural Networks, LLMs, and GenAI
• Solid grasp of probability, statistics, and applied research methods
