Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

To drive impactful media buying decisions, the full-time remote Staff Data Scientist will build and validate models to optimize carrier visibility for auto insurance shoppers, managing data from initial deployment to ongoing monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain models that determine optimal carrier visibility for auto insurance shoppers
• Analyze carrier conversion data to enhance media spending strategies and improve return on ad spend (ROAS)
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to frame problems, identify data sources, and ensure successful model deployment and performance monitoring

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience with measurable business impact
• Proven track record of building models that drive paid media decisions, including spend and bidding strategies
• Deep understanding of model architecture, including loss functions and neural network fundamentals
• Experience managing data challenges such as late labels, sparse features, and data drift
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
