Staff Data Systems Architect
Job Summary
Owning the end-to-end systems design of the MyFitnessPal product data stack, the full-time remote Staff Data Systems Architect will develop and maintain the systems architecture roadmap while coordinating contributions from various engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the systems architecture roadmap for the product data stack
- Coordinate contributions from Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Product Analytics, and backend engineering teams
- Define and enforce data movement and standardization discipline across the stack
Required qualifications
- 8 - 12+ years in systems design, architecture, or engineering roles, with 3 - 5 years at the architect/staff level
- Experience architecting integrations of modern customer data stack tools
- Proficiency in Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms, including performance tuning and access design
- Experience implementing data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to define and enforce architecture standards across teams
