Staff Deep Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To build deep learning capabilities for autonomous systems, the full-time Staff Deep Learning Engineer will develop models for vision-based navigation, focusing on tasks such as feature detection and localization, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate models for feature detection, depth estimation, and image-to-map localization
• Own data preparation strategies, including dataset curation and automated quality checks
• Design evaluations to measure model performance and localization outcomes across various conditions

Required qualifications

• M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field with relevant professional experience
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch or equivalent frameworks for model design and evaluation
• Strong foundations in camera models, projective geometry, and experience in vision-based navigation or related fields
• Proficiency in Python and experience in developing maintainable software for computer vision applications
• Experience in building data pipelines for sensor data ingestion and dataset versioning
