Staff DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Staff DevOps Engineer on the Developer Experience (DevEx) team, the successful candidate will set the technical direction for platforms and workflows, drive adoption of self-service tools, and ensure reliable delivery across engineering teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and drive the technical roadmap for the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and act as an architecture reviewer for infrastructure-impacting changes
• Own and evolve the Internal Developer Platform, focusing on automation and platform abstraction to resolve systemic friction across the software development lifecycle
• Lead the architecture of CI/CD orchestration and standardize build, test, and deployment patterns across application and data workloads

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall engineering experience, including 7+ years building and operating cloud infrastructure at scale
• Deep, hands-on experience with multi-account, multi-cluster Kubernetes platforms in production (EKS and/or GKE)
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane) and GitOps practices (Flux or Argo CD)
• Experience designing and owning CI/CD systems supporting high release velocity and security guardrails (GitLab CI/CD preferred)
• Hands-on experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana) with a cost-aware perspective
