Staff Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely with occasional onsite presence, the full-time salaried Staff Engineer will translate customer needs into technical solutions, design systems and software integration patterns, and provide leadership in engineering methodologies such as Agile and DevOps.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions that align with enterprise platform requirements and long-term vision
- Lead the development of critical components and frameworks while mentoring team members on engineering best practices
- Collaborate across teams to broker solution design and ensure the integration of systems and subsystems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or Data Science and Engineering, with 7 years of relevant experience
- At least 7 years of experience in data engineering with Big Data technologies, including Apache Spark and Hadoop
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
