Job Summary
Leading the architecture and evolution of a real-time money movement and payments platform, the full-time remote Staff Engineer will manage cross-team technical direction, embed AI into engineering workflows, and drive high-impact initiatives across distributed systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design systems for safe and reliable money movement at scale across distributed services
- Define and evolve platform patterns for event-driven architectures and cross-team system design
- Drive adoption of AI across teams by coaching engineers and establishing best practices
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of experience building and operating distributed backend systems
- Strong experience in payments, fintech, or correctness-critical systems
- Proven track record of leveraging AI to improve engineering outcomes
- Experience leading complex, cross-team initiatives and driving technical direction
