Staff Engineer, Application Security

Job Summary

To enhance the company's security posture, the full-time Staff Engineer, Application Security will define and drive security strategy across applications and cloud infrastructure, lead security architecture reviews, and implement security guardrails for AI systems in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive company-wide security strategy, identifying high-impact risks and leading cross-functional initiatives
• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews while partnering with engineering teams to integrate security into the SDLC
• Implement security guardrails for AI applications and improve security across cloud infrastructure and software supply chains

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in application, product, cloud, or infrastructure security with strong hands-on security engineering experience
• Strong software engineering skills with the ability to read, write, and review production code
• Deep understanding of application and API security, cloud security, and modern software development practices
• Experience designing scalable security architecture and secure-by-default controls
• Proficiency in utilizing AWS security services and application security tools
