Staff Experience Designer

Job Summary

Experienced design leaders will find a remote opportunity as a Staff Experience Designer, responsible for shaping Airbnb's global products to feel local by adapting core experiences to regional needs while collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing design leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support the evolution of the Airbnb platform by ensuring design consistency with brand and product architecture
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to define problems, map user flows, and launch new products and services
• Provide indirect leadership and mentorship to a team of designers, influencing decision-making and solving complex design challenges autonomously

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10+ years of experience as a designer or design leader with strong visual and interaction design skills
• Proven ability to scope work accurately and lead teams through design processes
• Experience in designing platforms and systems, with a focus on making complex information accessible
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and set vision for global products
