Job Summary
As a key technical resource for strategic enterprise customers, the full-time remote Staff Forward Deployed Engineer will design AI-driven solutions, engage with stakeholders to understand data governance challenges, and build BI and ML pipelines to deliver measurable business value.
Key responsibilities
- Design and prototype AI agent systems and workflows to automate data governance processes within Alation's platform
- Engage with enterprise stakeholders to translate data ecosystem requirements into technical roadmaps
- Build BI and ML pipelines that convert cataloged data into actionable insights and demonstrate ROI for deployments
Required qualifications
- 8+ years in software engineering with experience in customer-facing technical roles
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks and AI tooling, including orchestration patterns and vector databases
- Experience delivering BI and data pipeline solutions with strong SQL skills and familiarity with cloud data platforms
- Solid understanding of enterprise data governance and distributed systems architecture
