Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Staff Machine Learning Engineer to work remotely, who will lead the development and deployment of advanced machine learning models to enhance marketplace algorithms, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance and seamless integration of data-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of machine learning and AI models to improve search ranking and recommendation systems
• Design and implement robust MLOps practices for the deployment and scalability of machine learning models
• Define evaluation frameworks for machine learning systems to ensure quality and safety before and after deployment

Required qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
• 6+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, preferably in tech and marketplace environments
• Hands-on experience with self-hosting and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs)
• Fluency in the MLOps lifecycle, including data versioning, CI/CD for ML, and model monitoring
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
