Staff ML Engineer - AWS Licensed
Job Summary
To support enterprise clients with production AI systems, the full-time Staff ML Engineer - AWS Licensed will train and operate models on Amazon SageMaker using AWS Trainium, focusing on optimizing PyTorch training code and diagnosing hardware-related issues in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Train and operate models on Amazon SageMaker with AWS Trainium as the underlying compute
- Write and optimize PyTorch training code while understanding its execution on Trainium hardware
- Collaborate with client and internal engineering teams to deliver production training workloads
Required qualifications
- Strong, hands-on experience with PyTorch, preferably including distributed or multi-device training
- Production experience with Amazon SageMaker for training and/or inference
- Understanding of device-specific compilation and ability to debug hardware-related issues
- Experience with AWS Trainium or Inferentia (Neuron SDK) is a strong plus
- Solid Python fundamentals and experience in a client-facing, production engineering environment
