Staff Mobile Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the technical strategy and architecture for the member mobile app, the full-time Staff Mobile Engineer will oversee the rebuild of the app, ensuring a seamless user experience while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Own mobile technical strategy and architecture for the member app across iOS and Android, making critical multi-quarter decisions
- Lead hands-on delivery of the rebuilt member app, writing production code and establishing engineering standards
- Design secure authentication and on-device data handling for PHI, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 12-15 years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years in native mobile app development
- Deep expertise in native iOS (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit) and native Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) development
- Experience integrating health data platforms and connected devices, such as Apple HealthKit and Bluetooth LE
- Proven mobile release discipline, including CI/CD practices and automated testing methodologies
