Staff Networking Engineer
Job Summary
Owning network architecture and operations, the full-time Staff Networking Platform Engineer will manage data center and Kubernetes networking, ensuring reliable customer connectivity and security for GroqMetal's management plane and tenant clusters.
Key responsibilities
- Translate customer connectivity and performance requirements into supported networking platform features
- Build Kubernetes-native automation for managing tenant networks and ensuring isolation and connectivity
- Oversee dynamic configuration of tenant networks, including BGP, routing policies, and VLANs across various environments
Required qualifications
- Deep knowledge of networking services and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, and routing policy
- Experience with bare-metal data center networking and technologies such as VLANs and EVPN/VXLAN
- Strong background in Kubernetes networking and Linux, including CNI behavior and network policy
- Proficiency in Kubernetes-native development, network automation, and GitOps practices
- Experience with fabric management and IPAM systems like Netris or NetBox
