Staff Performance Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on enhancing browser performance, the full-time remote Staff Performance Engineer will write code and tests, analyze performance bottlenecks, and educate other engineers on writing efficient code.
Key responsibilities
- Write code and tests while profiling and analyzing performance issues across the Firefox browser
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support and lead performance improvement initiatives
- Drive complex performance problems to completion and contribute to the Performance team's technical roadmap
Required qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Deep proficiency in C++ and working proficiency in JavaScript
- Proven experience in developing performance-critical software and debugging performance bottlenecks
- Experience with multithreading, disk I/O, or GPU work
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment
