Staff Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the Core Services for the system, the full-time remote Staff Platform Engineer will manage platform primitives, implement quality gates for safe automated delivery, and contribute to AI-assisted development while collaborating with other engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own one or more platform or SDLC primitives from architecture through production operation
- Build deterministic quality gates for safe code delivery, including automated testing and schema change safety
- Coach engineers on best practices for agentic engineering and define reliability conventions for the platform
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with distributed systems or platform components
- Depth in test automation at scale, AI code review, or authorization systems
- Experience with agent orchestration and tooling ecosystems for software development
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS
- Track record of leading workstreams across multiple engineers without direct authority
