Staff Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Leading complex initiatives in a full-time remote capacity, the Staff Platform Engineer will define platform direction, improve developer workflows, and establish secure and reliable systems for the NodeZero platform.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, and shared platform services
- Drive high-impact initiatives across multiple teams while balancing reliability, security, and developer experience
- Mentor engineers and improve documentation, runbooks, and self-service paths
Required qualifications
- 8+ years in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, SRE, DevOps, or software engineering with substantial production-platform ownership
- Deep experience designing and operating cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Strong Kubernetes experience, including production operations and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform or Crossplane
- Experience operating CI/CD and delivery infrastructure
