Staff Product Engineer

Job Summary

Owning a specific developer workflow, the full-time Staff Product Engineer in Developer Experience will manage product discovery, design, and implementation of internal tools and workflows, ensuring high-quality software that enhances the productivity of engineers, product managers, and designers, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own a developer workflow or tool from discovery through adoption, making decisions on its development and lifecycle
• Conduct product discovery by engaging with users, analyzing data, and identifying the most impactful problems to solve
• Design and build solutions, ensuring a consumer-grade quality bar for internal software and leveraging AI where appropriate

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping user-adopted software
• Experience leading complex projects from vague requirements to successful launch, coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Strong proficiency in relevant engineering areas such as TypeScript, React, or backend languages like Go, Python, Java, or Rust
• Experience building developer-facing software, including CLIs, internal platforms, or CI/CD tooling
• Ability to communicate effectively through documentation, specs, and launch notes, with a focus on user needs
