Staff Quality Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on enhancing quality metrics, the full-time Staff Quality Engineer in Mobile will define test strategies, implement AI-assisted testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve the mobile test strategy, including defining a pragmatic test pyramid for React Native
- Enable product teams to maintain high quality by rotating through teams and setting performance benchmarks
- Integrate AI testing into the software development lifecycle to improve test authoring and issue triage
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or test automation with a focus on maintaining stable automated test suites
- Hands-on experience with Maestro or Detox and coding experience in test frameworks and CI pipelines
- Experience in API and contract testing with a strategic approach to test data and environment management
- Proven ability to set up and use Service Level Objectives to drive measurable quality improvements
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and a track record of coaching others in quality practices
