Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on building and shipping production systems, the full-time Staff Security Engineer will take end-to-end ownership of technical security architecture, including threat detection, incident response, and embedding security into the software development lifecycle, while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Own strategy and engineering for detection and response platforms, including building and maintaining Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tooling
• Embed security into the software development lifecycle through threat modeling, secure design reviews, and vulnerability management
• Build AI-powered security tooling and define security models for LLM-based systems and internal AI tools

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in security engineering with demonstrated growth into technical leadership
• Strong software engineering or scripting background (Python, Go, Typescript, or shell)
• Depth in one or more specializations: AI Security, Product Security, Detection & Response
• Hands-on experience with AWS security and IAM
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and enhancing team capability
