Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing technology practice, the remote Staff Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security services while partnering cross-functionally to shape security strategy and drive impactful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive security strategies and solutions
• Design and deploy advanced security controls to safeguard networks, systems, and applications
• Mentor new engineers and uphold standards for security processes to support high-quality engineering

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Eight years of experience in software or security engineering within Cloud Native environments
• Experience with hybrid-cloud ingress and egress inspection pipelines and threat detection solutions
• Knowledge of automating cloud network infrastructure and security policy enforcement using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Familiarity with operationalizing network observability and integrating security services across platforms
