Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a technical visionary, the full-time Staff Security Engineer will drive security strategy across the enterprise, embedding security into the development lifecycle and ensuring the protection of core systems and AI adoption, all while working remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Define architectural standards to protect employees, customers, and core systems across cloud environments and applications
• Embed security in the development lifecycle through threat modeling, design reviews, and secure defaults
• Own the security tooling stack and develop metrics to demonstrate risk reduction and compliance alignment

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security operations, product security, infrastructure security, and application security
• Experience setting architectural direction and creating secure reference patterns followed by multiple business units
• Hands-on expertise in cloud security (AWS) and traditional enterprise security
• Proven ability to design systems that meet best practices and regulatory requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
