Staff Security Researcher

Job Summary

Focused on Emergent Threat Response and Metasploit, the full-time Staff Security Researcher will lead vulnerability research efforts, analyze newly disclosed vulnerabilities, develop exploit modules, and mentor other researchers in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Rapidly analyze and document high-priority n-day vulnerabilities to determine exploitability and impact
• Develop and contribute exploit modules to Metasploit, enhancing its capabilities and quality
• Mentor junior researchers through code reviews and technical guidance while contributing to technical trend analyses

Required qualifications

• Demonstrable expertise in major vulnerability classes and exploitation techniques
• Experience developing complex exploit chains and strong reverse engineering skills
• Expert-level understanding of networking and operating system internals
• A track record of public writing and speaking about vulnerabilities and exploits
• Ability to work cross-functionally during time-sensitive security events and communicate findings effectively
