Staff Site Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
To shape infrastructure reliability and enhance developer experience, the full-time Staff Site Reliability Engineer will design and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure, build tools for product engineers, and partner with teams to improve system resilience, all while working in a hybrid environment from Auckland.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable, automated AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Build tools and platform services that enable product engineers to operate independently
- Champion observability, high availability, and incident management practices across teams
Required qualifications
- Strong AWS experience operating highly available, scalable production systems
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and configuration management tools
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and Linux systems
- Ability to code in Python, Ruby, or Go, along with complex Shell scripting
- Familiarity with observability, incident management, and disaster recovery practices
