Staff Site Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
To support the reliability foundation of Thrive Market's platform, the full-time Staff Site Reliability Engineer will define and implement SLOs and SLIs, build observability systems, and lead incident response efforts, working remotely or from the Playa Vista, CA office.
Key responsibilities
- Define, implement, and own SLOs and SLIs across critical platform services
- Build and maintain comprehensive monitoring and observability systems using tools like Datadog and Prometheus
- Architect and optimize Kubernetes-based container orchestration for reliability and performance
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster management and production-grade container orchestration
- Strong systems engineering background with advanced proficiency in Linux administration
- Extensive experience with core AWS services and Infrastructure as Code tools
