Staff Software Developer
Job Summary
Seeking a Staff Software Developer to join the Distribution Tools team in a full-time remote capacity, where the candidate will own the delivery of complex features, mentor engineers, and shape architecture for desktop design tools in the electric and gas distribution market.
Key responsibilities
- Own the delivery of complex features and enhancements, from requirements through production
- Translate ambiguous product needs into clear technical plans with milestones and risk assessments
- Mentor engineers on design, code quality, and engineering judgment while leading peer design and code reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with technical leadership on complex systems
- Proven experience in designing and shipping large desktop and/or service-based applications
- Experience in leading or mentoring engineers, formally or informally
- Strong communication skills for writing design documents and presenting to stakeholders
