Seeking a hands-on Staff Software Development Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, responsible for designing and delivering secure, high-availability microservices that facilitate healthcare data exchange and integration with third-party platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java/JEE and Spring Boot, ensuring secure and performant RESTful APIs
- Implement event-driven patterns and integrate backend services with healthcare data standards while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and security requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, focusing on production readiness and long-term reliability improvements
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years developing backend applications with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Node.js
- 3+ years of experience deploying services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using cloud-native patterns
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms
- Strong understanding of REST API design and JSON data modeling
