Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Consumer Engineering team, the remote Staff Software Engineer will manage the full software lifecycle for major product initiatives, focusing on building scalable APIs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user engagement and experience.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Design, and Engineering teams to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Own the end-to-end delivery of software projects, including technical design, development, testing, and rollout
- Design and evaluate A/B experiments to inform engineering decisions based on user behavior data
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in backend development with large-scale distributed systems
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go or Python
- Expertise in designing and maintaining APIs using GraphQL, REST, or gRPC
- Experience with high-throughput caching layers and distributed datastores like Redis or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance development workflows
