Job Summary
Guiding the technical direction for the Experience platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and implement software systems for genomic applications, focusing on enhancing patient and provider experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Define the strategic technical direction for the Experience platform and shape engineering standards across the organization
- Design, architect, and implement software systems while driving complex projects from scoping to production
- Mentor technical staff and champion durable solutions to eliminate technical debt and improve reliability
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer with a proven track record of impact at scale
- Strong product engineering mindset with a focus on customer and business outcomes
- Experience with AI adoption in engineering workflows and building automated safeguards for AI-generated code
- Proficiency in distributed systems on cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Deep full-stack expertise in backend languages such as Go, Java, Python, Scala, or Rust, and familiarity with SPA frameworks like React or Vue.js
