Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on technical leader, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will join Rula's Patient Onboarding team remotely, focusing on improving patient experiences through code development and leading complex initiatives across product areas.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex software engineering projects from problem definition to production support
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Analytics teams to enhance user journeys and engineering practices
- Utilize AI-assisted software development tools to improve engineering workflows and productivity
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including Staff-level scope and leadership of complex initiatives
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with modern frontend frameworks, backend APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience in high-impact user journeys such as onboarding, registration, and payments
- Proven ability to influence technical direction and communicate effectively across teams
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development tools in engineering workflows
