Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Staff Software Engineer for a full-time remote position who will lead the technical direction of backend engineering teams, focusing on designing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native systems while driving architectural decisions and improving system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical leader, defining engineering standards and guiding architectural discussions
- Architect and build production-grade backend services and data pipelines that ensure reliability and performance
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance technical capabilities and practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade systems at scale
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience influencing engineering direction and practices
- Deep experience in designing and operating distributed, cloud-native backend systems, ideally on AWS
- Strong backend development experience in modern languages, preferably C#/.NET
