Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and reliability of payment integrations, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will work remotely to ensure the correctness of money movement and enhance financial workflows in a large Windows desktop application using C# and C++.
Key responsibilities
- Own the correctness of transactions, ensuring accuracy, idempotency, and data integrity across money movement processes
- Drive engineering for real-time electronic claims, covering submission, retries, response parsing, and error handling
- Lead the modernization of legacy C++ modules towards a managed C# architecture while improving performance and reliability
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in building Windows desktop and backend enterprise applications using C#/.NET and C++
- Proven track record of technical leadership, setting architecture, and influencing cross-team standards
- Experience with object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and clean architecture
- Background in transactional or financial systems with a focus on correctness and auditability
- Strong debugging skills in production environments, particularly with financial and integration-heavy systems
